V1. My lady lover, don’t you see, you’ve been holding me down for days, moving me different ways, making me blue of late, over you V2. My lady lover, why can’t we be free in our love, the clouds are up above, why can’t we swim away through the sea? Chorus You, you, you, you, you don’t see me You, you, you, you, you don’t feel me I’m hoping now you’ll see my point of view If you concede it now, then we can make it through Solo Chorus You, you, you, you, you don’t see me You, you, you, you, you don’t feel me Coda: For every time I cared, for every time I held you in my arms, For every time you cried, for time I brought you into the light There is a part of me that waits; there is a part of me that wastes away

V1. I sit on the hill, among the flowers all ready to bloom The thoughts in my head seem to settle down as I look at the view B. Then I wake from a dream, and I turn to you once again Take me higher Spark my desire Chorus What is peace, but to glorify you? What am I if I’m not true? What are we supposed to do? When our love leaves us black and blue? V2. I take in the air; it all seems so fair, when I’m with you We look at the waves rolling through, such a lovely view B Life is made from such moments as these Take me higher Spark my desire Chorus What is peace, but to glorify you? What am I if I’m not true? What are we supposed to do? When our love leaves us black and blue?

about

Just some songs I wrote with one of my best mates, and also my cousin Lennie Tranter, before I moved to the UK. One of the songs, I wrote for my Dad after he showed me some lyrics he wrote years ago, as a tribute to my old man.
Not an official EP, but just some songs that I'd like to share. As usual Lennie, Sam (the producer extraordinaire) & Harvey, went into the wonderful Sawtooth Studios, had some beers and knocked the songs off in a couple of days. It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to my mates and Newcastle.
It was also a nice change from writing alone, and I loved the chance to collaborate with Lennie. I thoroughly recommend Googling Lennie Tranter and taking the time to listen to his awesome music as well.
